The one thing we have agreed on thus far is a beach location. We finally picked one and now I'm stressed thinking I need a wedding planner. But, wait those impressive girls are way to much money. Now, I'm up to my ears in wedding magazines and loving every second of it. A little tooo much. At this point our wedding will be equipped with every DIY imaginable, string lights, detailed dessert table, 16 bridesmaids, photo booth OH and an ice cream bar. What the whaaaat?! I am guessing this is why love birds get eloped.
I better get organized and start saving my pennies...

aww!! Congrats!!! The only advice I can give you is pick a couple things you care about the most and spend the majority of your budget on that. Mine was the pictures and my dress because those were the only things I would walk away with at the end of the day. :)
ReplyDeleteBut looking back, I think making sure everyone you love and cherish is there to support you should be number one. We had everyone we loved there and it made the day amazing. We could have been naked on a beach {ha!! :)} and if all those people where there, it would have been worth it. Good luck my friend!! xoxo

Just don't stress yourself out with too many DIY's - focus on the most important thing; you and Dan, and it will all turn out beautiful. Our wedding is still the best one I've ever been to and I wouldn't change a thing 13 years later ;)

the best advice i was given was pick 3 things that you can't live without on that day. for me it was a tent reception, a good photographer, and spanish music. when we were making other decisions, it was a bit easier to sacrifice some things so that we could get those three priorities just right. good luck!! and im sure the dessert table will be TO DIE FOR!!

Hey girl! Congrats on your engagement! These pictures are adorable. So I'm a little shocked you don't think you know what you're doing bc what I remember from g phi days is you're pretty talented! You can do this wedding! You don't need a wedding planner. You are already such a creative person! Just make sure whatever beach you get married on that you've checked w the city that you can get married on that beach!

I think having a day-of coordinator is so helpful! You don't want to stress over anything on the day of. I can totally feel you on the stress of everything. Just take it one day at a time! I have a friend who is a planner and is doing my coordination at a good price. Let me know if you want her email.
