Hey Guys! I've been super busy this week catching up on playing with my toddler and sleep! Since SNAP!, my brain and body have been desperately trying to get back to normal. I've got tons of things to say about SNAP! and the amazing time I had....but until then....

This was a guest post I did a few weeks ago for the mommas over at the Bluum Blog! I wanted to now share it over here in case you missed it! Hope you guys are having a more productive week than me! ;)

As you know with having a baby comes tons of planning and your to-do lists grows into a book! A lot of the time I'm overwhelmed, things get overlooked, things get rushed and time keeps going. When all you want is to pause as you nurse your newborn or replay their first laugh over and over again. In the blink of an eye its their first birthday and you don't know whether to cry and embrace your growing baby or hide.....because now a days planning your child's 1st birthday has become some what of sport!

The days of a small gathering of family, pizza and box cake are seemingly over. Pushed aside by gorgeous printable invites and decor, elaborate food choices and the cutest dessert most don't want to eat because well its just to darn cute! {Trust me....I bake and sell those cute desserts myself} I want to take a moment and say whatever birthday route you choose will be amazing and will be the most memorable day because your baby is growing...and nothing can be better than that!

I do want to share with you all a few easy ideas you can whip up for your guests that can wow them, thank them and have their tummy's full and happy.

The thing I love the most and I also think is a must at any party are edible party favors. Party favors are typically things your guests can take home, its a way of saying "Hey! Thanks for celebrating with us!". In my opinion everything is better if its sweet and edible! Here are some tips and ideas for fun edible party favors your guest will love.

`Bring back childhood favorites with a touch of trend and class. I'm not sure who doesn't like rice crispy treats, they are great! In fact, there are a bunch of recipes out there that take them to the next level. Try my most recent spin - Peanut Brown Butter Crispy Treats! You can also add candy and dip them in chocolate as well. Do whatever is easiest for you and your party. Try wrapping them with parchment paper and string so guests can grab them with ease.

You can also put oreos on multi-colored Popsicle sticks...which children will love. Not to mention its cheap!

`Party Favor Table

I love setting up a party favor table so guests can grab their treats as they leave. I always forget to hand them out so setting them up for guests to grab is a great idea! Have someone help you set up a little table with your favors displayed. Having them displayed make people surprised and excited. It is always fun to receive something at a party...especially a fun edible favor.

`Say Thank You

If you find the time to make "Thank You" tags you can {Or print them!}. Display your favors in a fun way with a sign that says "Thank You For Celebrating With Us! Please Enjoy!" That is the whole reason for party favors. To thank your guests for taking the time to be with you and your family. Leave gift bags on the table so people can pick out what they would like and take it to go.

`Did I say keep it simple?

Above all else, the key is to keep it way simple. So you can maximize your time spent enjoying your family and celebrating an amazing milestone. So whether it be homemade or store bought the party will be special no matter what! Mostly because every momma has it in her to create amazing things....AND your celebrating your child which nothing beats! Cheers!
