Easter Fun At Home

With Easter being this Sunday and everyone still having to stay at home, we all have to get a little creative to make it as special as can be. Our family typically gets together for a big egg hunt and I’m always in charge of our adult egg hunt! The kids hunt for their Easter baskets too. We eat candy before a giant brunch then BBQ for dinner. Last year we spent Easter with Dan’s family and enjoyed egg hunting on the beach followed by a big brunch outside. I was pregnant with Maya at the time and feeling so sick! It is so crazy how fast a full year has blown by. Even nuttier that we all have to stay home this year!

Easter was the last holiday we spent with our son Ryan too, so the day always holds a little extra weight to it. I start the day remembering our last Easter together. I look at photos of him in his tiny vest and red converse high tops. I imagine him running alongside Mila as she hunts high and low for eggs and candy. Easter is a hard one and this year is proving to be that much more difficult since we can’t see our extended family. We’ll be making the most of the day though! I am trying to jam it full of yummy brunch, fun activities, and I am surprising Mila with a glow in the dark egg hunt that I think will even excite my husband!

We are all in this together friends. Below I’ve created some Easter fun for your family to enjoy this weekend. You’ll find a fun egg print out your kids can get really creative with. We got the whole family involved with this one and did an egg decorating “challenge”. Basically we all decorated our own and had Mila pick the winner. (Mila chose her own design of course.) Print it out and give it a try! Be sure to pull out any and every thing you think would be fun to use while decorating! There are no rules ;)

You’ll also find a fun (+ simple) activity print out! You can do this together with your little ones or have them do it on their own. Maybe have a few of your family members try it at the same time and have them race to finish it first!

Lastly, we created super cute bunny paw prints you can print and cut out. The idea is that you use them to mark a trail your kids can follow to find their Easter baskets! I plan on setting these out the night before Easter so when Mila wakes up she can follow the bunny paw prints to see if the Easter bunny filled up her basket!

Hope these bring some light to your holiday!

Stay safe and make the most of this weekend friends!
