Cinnamon Rolls Ingredient List

Rolls; 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast, 1 cup warm milk, 1 tsp sugar + 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup softened unsalted butter, 1 tsp salt, 2 eggs at room temperature, 4 cups all purpose flour or bread flour

Filling; 1 cup brown sugar, 4 tbs cinnamon, 1/3 cup softened unsalted butter, 1/4 cup milk to brush onto the rolls before baking

Icing; 1/4 cup softened cream cheese, 6 tbs softened unsalted butter, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Cinnamon Rolls Made Easy…

Start by mixing the yeast, warm milk and 1 tsp of sugar and set it aside. In the bowl of your stand mixer mix together the sugar, salt, eggs and softened butter. You can also do this by hand with a whisk and a large bowl. Add the yeast mixture and slowly add in the flour, mix until a dough forms.

Just as a dough forms remove from the mixer/bowl and on a floured surface continue kneading the dough until it becomes smooth and a bit glossy. This kneading typically takes about five minutes. Once your dough is kneading, place it into a greased bowl and cover with a dish towel. Let it rest and rise for one hour on your counter top.

In a bowl mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Once the hour is up it is time to roll out your dough! Roll out your dough into the best rectangle shape you can manage, and continue rolling until the dough is about 1/4 of an inch thick.

Now, gently spread the softened butter all over your dough. Covering every inch with an even layer of butter. Then sprinkle the brown sugar + cinnamon mixture all over. Covering every inch of the dough with the brown sugar + cinnamon mixture!

Start rolling your dough into a tight toll. Begin on the largest side of your dough rectangle and gently roll it up. Once you have a cinnamon roll dough log, use a knife to gently cut 1 inch thick rolls. As you cut each roll, place them in a 9x12 baking dish. Let the rolls rest in the baking dish for 30 minutes. Cover them with a dish towel and let them hang out on your countertop.

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Brush the rolls with milk and bake for about 25 minutes or until the edges of each roll turn a golden brown.
