Colorful Heart Craft

Sometimes a simple craft is all you need to uplift spirits and turn off everyone’s brain for a bit. Getting our hands working and being creative always helps clear our minds in this house! I love setting up Mila with a colorful tear activity. It is something she can do from start to finish and makes for a pretty neat outcome. If you remember, we did something similar in the Fall with our Tear Fall Tree. We also did tear rainbows last Summer, you can pretty much do any shape/object you want.

Start by choosing a few colored pieces of paper and ripping them into small pieces.

I like to use watercolor paper since it is a bit more sturdy for glueing, but you can use regular construction paper. On the paper I use a mark to outline any shape we desire. We are doing hearts for February, but get creative and make anything you want!

Next use a glue stick and start glueing the ripped pieces of paper all over to fill in the heart!

Have the best time getting creative with your little ones and if you make tear hearts please tag us @babyboybakery and use the #craftwithbabyboybakery hashtag so we can see!
