Frozen Tangerine + Cranberry Margarita

It is no secret how much I love a good margarita! I’ve shared a whole bunch of cocktail recipes here that vary from margaritas, but my one true fav is a great marg. You can browse all my cocktail recipes HERE!

Last year my family and I went on a camping trip and my friend had mentioned she makes a tangerine margarita. I couldn’t get that out of my head so I set out to make one myself when we got home. Now when we are together I make these Frozen Tangerine + Cranberry Margaritas!

I love when cocktails look nearly too good to drink, it is part of the fun. Since tangerine juice is so bright and sweet, contrasting that with something dark and bitter sounded delicious. I decided to pour the cranberry juice on top and the result was gorgeous! Cranberry seemed like the perfect choice and I’m telling you the two are PERFECT! Keep in mind there are tons of cranberry juices out there, when making this drink try and use 100% cranberry juice. 100% cranberry juice is more bitter vs cranberry juices that add sugar.

This is a frozen margarita which is perfect for the warmer months coming up! Plus, this is such a simple one to make. Find the directions below and let me know if you blend up a batch soon!

Frozen Tangerine + Cranberry Margarita

About 9 Frozen Tangerine Juice Cubes

1 oz Cointreau

3 oz Tequila

1 Lime

2 oz 100% Cranberry Juice

Candies Oranges *Optional

Makes 2 Cocktails

Directions

Step 1: First things first you’ll need to freeze tangerine juice! Use an ice tray and fill it up with tangerine juice. Freeze until solid.

Step 2: To a blender pour in tangerine juice, just enough until the blades are barely covered. Next add about 9 frozen tangerine juice cubes. You might add more or less depending on how large your cubes are!

Step 3: Next add the juice of one lime, the Cointreau and tequila. Blend until smooth. If you find that it is not thick enough, add more frozen tangerine cubes. If you find that it is too thick add more liquid tangerine juice to help your blender blend it smooth.

Step 4: Once the margarita is blended smooth pour into glasses leaving a bit of room at the top.

Step 5: Gently pour about an ounce of cranberry juice on top. Add a candied orange as garnish and ENJOY!
