Grapefruit Frose' - A Spring Time Must!

With Spring here and Summer on the warm horizon we all need to enjoy a glass of frose’ right?! Frozen rose’ is a unique sunny weather beverage that is extremely refreshing and tasty. It is pretty simple and blew my mind just a few years ago. If you are unfamiliar with frose’ it is frozen rose’ wine that is most of time flavored with fruit. I first had frose’ while at an Ed Sheeran concert with my sister and fell in love!

I had never tried to make it at home until I started freezing juice for baby Maya’s teethers in hopes of soothing her gums. While popping some of the frozen fruit juice cubs into her teether I thought these would be yummy blended up with some alcohal as a cocktail. I tried it with rose’ and here we are! Just to reiterate here, the frozen juice for Maya’s teethers were JUST juice! And now we freeze juice to have on hand for fun mocktails or cocktails in addition to use for our baby’s teether to sooth her gums. ;)

Anyhow, turns out frozen grapefruit juice pairs perfectly with rose’. Blended together the two create a frosty drink that is obsess worthy! It is honestly SO SIMPLE, find out how easy below ….

Grapefruit Frose’

Ingredients

6 or 8 large frozen grapefruit juice cubes

2 cups of your favorite type of rose’ wine

Serves About Two Glasses

Directions

Step 1: Pour grapefruit juice into an ice cube tray and freeze until fully solid. I like to use THIS large silicone ice cube tray. If your ice cube tray makes smaller cubes then you may need to use more when blending to achieve that nice thick, frosty texture.

Step 2: Once your grapefruit juice is fully frozen add about 6 or 8 cubes to a blender.

Step 3: Pour in about 2 cups of your favorite rose’ wine and blend until thick and smooth.

Step 4: Pour the frose’ into glasses and enjoy!
