Mila's Reading Corner - Book Four
Kicking off the new year with another great read for Mila’s Reading Corner! If you are just joining us, you can read HERE why we started this kids book club. The way it works is simple! We share with you a new book each month that we are reading with Mila and an activity page that we fill out after reading that months book. You simply join us by reading the same book, if you don’t already own it we give you the link to purchase it if you’d like. Then you download and print our activity page to fill out with your children after reading the book! We thought it would be a fun way to get us reading more diverse reads with our children. Plus, the activity page we created is great to further the conversation with your children about what they learned while reading the book. This month we were lucky enough to receive the newest book written by Meena Harris titled Ambitious Girl. You can purchase the book HERE. This read is seriously so inspiring for little ones. Halfway through the book Mila was already jumping up and telling me what she wanted to be when she got older. The book follows a young girl as she journey’s through challenges that women may face. Through out the book the young girl speaks about how she can truly be ambitious even if people try and stop her. It is a really great read and Mila loves it! A must read for any child, especially little girls.
